Kazi’s Supermarket ([ABN]) (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and share personal information when you use kazissupermarket.com, shop with us or contact us. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

Information we collect

• Account and order details: your name, email address, mobile number, delivery address, the products you buy and your order history.
• Payment details: card and wallet payments are processed by our payment provider. We do not see or store your full card number.
• Communications: messages you send us through email, phone or our contact form.
• Website data: technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, collected through cookies and server logs.

Why we collect it

• To process, deliver or prepare your order for Click & Collect, and to contact you about it.
• To create and secure your account, including sending one-time verification codes.
• To handle refunds, returns and customer service requests.
• To meet our legal obligations, including tax and record-keeping.
• To send you offers and news, only if you have agreed. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
• To keep our website secure and improve how it works.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the store, and only as much as they need:

• Our payment processor, to take payments and prevent fraud.
• Our website and email hosting provider (Hostinger). Our website servers are located in Singapore, so your information is stored overseas.
• Delivery staff or couriers, who receive your name, address and phone number to deliver your order.
• Government authorities, if the law requires it.

Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia, including in Singapore and the United States. We take reasonable steps to make sure they protect it.

Cookies

We use cookies that are needed for the cart, checkout and your account to work, and cookies that help us understand how the website is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, but parts of the store may stop working.

How we protect your information

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), two-factor authentication for staff accounts, limited staff access, regular backups and security monitoring. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by law.

How long we keep it

We keep order and payment records for as long as tax and consumer laws require (generally 5 to 7 years). Other information is deleted or de-identified when we no longer need it.

Access, correction and deletion

You can view and update most of your details in My Account. You can also ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within 30 days.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we handle your personal information, please contact us first and we will try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
